President Obama should fire General McChrystal as soon as humanly possible.  The good general presented President Obama with one strategy instead of a set of alternative strategies and when President Obama either rejected it OR didn’t respond quickly enough, McChrystal leaked the memo to the press (arrogant, pompous  Bob Woodward to be exact).

Now, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that loyalty matters.  The problem Obama is faced with is that the people who are playing on his field aren’t necessarily on his team.  They don’t have his best interest at heart.  As my mother always says, “they don’t drink his kinda coffee, sip his kinda’ tea, or eat his kinda’ food.”   And if they’re allowed to remain in the Obama administration’s inner circle, they will inevitably continue to force the President’s hand and undermine his agenda.

President Obama needs to call a press conference and let the world know that General McChystal has been fired.  Also, make it plainly understood that everyone who works for the executive branch of government serves at the pleasure of the President.  And no…there won’t be any exceptions made for those who wear 1, 2, 3, or 4 stars on their shoulders….you can get it too!
