I must say, even though I’m not always a fan of the thug anthems which often times masquerade as hip-hop, I’m somewhat smittin’ with the new 50 Cent video.

The video alludes to fantasies of building a home, a life, and even – dare I say it – a MARRIAGE with a black woman. To all the little thug muffins out there, even 50 Cent has visions of settling down with someone and building a future. Everyone does. “Baby By Me” envisions building a black family and not just black bling. And the church said AMEN!!!!

I’m not a huge fan of the “have a baby by me baby, be a millionaire” lyric because it ultimately invites the gold digger behavior that 50 and so many other rappers claim to reject. Why invite into your world something that you disdain? Isn’t that the height of hypocrisy? Either way, the three cute as cake little boys with matching argyle shirts make up for the silliness of the aforementioned lyric. Take a listen……
